“VCF Cameroon Joins Advocacy March to Mark 16 Days of Activism Against GBV”

VCF Cameroon today joined an advocacy march at the University of Buea for the 16 Days of Activism Against GBV. With civil society, students, and leaders, we raised awareness, supported survivor-centered advocacy, and promoted a culture of non-violence. This solidarity reinforces that ending GBV requires collective action. VCF remains committed to prevention, protection, and empowerment for the safety and dignity of all.

“Investing in Girls’ Rights: Hope and Empowerment in Bangem”.

After weeks of uncertainty caused by political instability, some young people of Bangem came together on October 30, 2025, to celebrate the International Day of the Girl Child under the theme “Invest in Girls’ Rights: Our Leadership, Our Well-being.” Organized by Visionary Care Foundation (VCF Cameroon), the event brought together 40 young participants — 25 girls and 15 boys — for a day of learning, reflection, and empowerment. Through interactive discussions on leadership, menstrual hygiene, and gender equality, participants explored what it truly means to build inclusive and respectful communities. Girls left the event inspired to lead and learn, boys pledged to become allies for equality, and community leaders reaffirmed their commitment to protecting the rights of every child. With the distribution of educational kits and renewed partnerships, the celebration became a powerful reminder that investing in girls means investing in the future of our communities.
