Last August in Buea, Visionary Care Foundation (VCF) Cameroon, in partnership with DAREM, launched the Positive Parenting Program with the Muslim community.
Our first session was interactive and inspiring:
- Participants were energized with animation and introduced to the session agenda.
- We emphasized the importance of regular attendance and both parents’ participation.
- Parent support groups were formed to ensure families can navigate this journey together.
- Parents shared their hopes for their children and expectations from the program.
- Ground rules were agreed upon to promote mutual respect and commitment throughout the sessions.
Through this program, we aim to:
- Strengthen parents’ knowledge and skills in positive parenting.
- Promote child protection, healthy development, and the enjoyment of children’s rights.
- Support families in managing challenges with empathy, communication, and resilience.
- Foster harmony within homes and empower communities to safeguard children.
For the next three months, we will work closely with the Muslim community in Buea to build stronger families, safer communities, and brighter futures for children. Every child deserves to grow up protected, loved, and supported to reach their full potential.
