This week in Bangem, VCF Cameroon extended its GBV prevention outreach to the technical high school, turning classrooms into spaces for critical reflection, dialogue, and empowerment.

Unlike sessions with younger pupils, this engagement focused on helping students understand their rights, bodily autonomy, consent, digital safety, and the responsibility we all share in preventing GBV.

Through interactive discussions, scenario exercises, and open conversations, students explored how violence manifests – physically, emotionally, and online; and what actions they can take when confronted with it. Their thoughtful contributions, bold questions, and strong commitments demonstrated how impactful youth-led learning can be.

Many students pledged to speak up, challenge harmful behaviors, support survivors, and spread the message of respect and safety within their school and community.

During these #16DaysofActivism, VCF Cameroon remains committed to empowering young people with knowledge and voice — because protecting children also means preparing adolescents to lead change.

🧡 When young people understand their rights, they defend them — for themselves and for others.
